Welcome to the 6th

Appreciaton Thread

Reasons why we love him:

- Because he protects his family no matter what!
- Because he was known in Chicago simply as "the Hammer"
- Because despite the bad, he also did good stuff
- Because he remains charming despite his mistakes
- Because we know he was a great States Attorney and he will be one again!
- Because he's still in love with Alicia and she still loves him

Quotes from Chris and about Chris/Peter Florrick

“There was no other way to do it. And Chris Noth is so great. He’s like, oh, please, I’ve been hit so many times. So we did it three times. The first time I didn’t hit him hard enough, apparently. The second time was good, but the camera was off. And the third time was perfect” — fortunately. “I left that red welt, so we couldn’t shoot again.”

"Caught in dalliance with prostitutes, Peter Florrick, Cook County state's attorney, is here to make his resignation speech—a mix of remorse and absolutely ripping manly assurance. It's the trademark persona that worked so irresistibly for Chris Noth's Mr. Big in "Sex and the City." And here—a masterly piece of casting—he is again, this time inhabiting Mr. Noth's Florrick: He's in prison, fighting corruption charges, and clearly a bounder. But, as we're quickly convinced, he's also a lot more—a bounder with character. He's Big, after all, not Eliot Spitzer—who's not going to forgive him?"

“Peter’s not an arrogant blowhard. He really has something to offer politically—I think he’ll be State’s Attorney again,” says Noth. “And he may have a second act with Alicia as well.”
Previous Threads:

#1 - 'Mr. Big' gone bad!
#2 - Even when he's a cheating husband, we can't help but like him!
#3 - "To protect my family, you have no idea what I'm capable of"
#4 - Because he is exceptionally charismatic and slightly mysterious
#5 -
Because he has a wild and wacky family

Chris most famous and popular past projects:

"Sex and the City - The Movie 2" .... Mr. Big (2010)
"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" .... Detective Mike Logan (36 episodes, 2005-2008)
"Sex and the City - the Movie" .... Mr. Big (2008)
"Sex and the City" .... Mr. Big (41 episodes, 1998-2004)
"Law & Order" .... Detective Mike Logan (111 episodes, 1990-1995)

From the last thread, thanks to Kiki and Cin:

Hi, Kiki - long time no see.

I'm going to be extra disappointed if they cut it too. (I just had to sneak back in here to say that, but I have to disappear again because I've hurt my back and am not aloud to spend much time at the computer until it gets better. It has to get better before season 2 because I want to come back here and discuss every Alicia/Peter detail with all the A/P followers again!)

We will! And Kiki, too. I've missed all the Peter, Alicia and Eli discussions the most, but I've only been allowed a very small amount of time on the computer per day, which has been taken up with work-related tasks, unfortunately. My doctor thinks I should be much better in a week, but I'll still have to take it easy for a couple more weeks. Perfect timing for season 2. It's just so much more fun and meaningful when you can discuss it with other fans. It's the only show I watch, so I wouldn't miss it for the world.

And may I please be added to the Chris Noth/Peter Florrick supporter list?

Add me to the list as well! And under reasons why we love Peter, can we add something about Alicia..."he is still Alicias husband', or still loves her or whatever...
thanks Kiki

I had my rough period too but at least the only thing I could do during recovery was sitting in front of my laptop

Welcome back... I agree. Most of my friends would think I was nuts ... but I find the forum fun, informative and a good distraction.
