No, and Joe wasn't there. I celebrated with Joe and Family on Saturday.

Where does Becky’s family live? Does this bother you at all?

Yeah I am not sure that this would work . My father and baking is a recipe for disaster . He will just eat cookies bought from the groceries shop .

Don't know how to explain it . My grandmother usually prepares the mixture and then we make them filled with some jelly or jam - usually prune jam.

No, because I spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with Joe. I like to be fair. Becky's family live around 30 minutes from me.

You're right, it's definitely fair.

Sounds great and seems similar to some of the Slovak and Polish desserts.

Yeah I think that I read that prune jam is used also in Slovak desserts.

Have you tried/tested it? If yes do you like it?

I actually do not like most of the jams/jelly stuff because they are too sweet. I do like the prune jam though because it's a mix between sweet and sour.

I have tried it my entire life, lol. My Grandmother and mother, aunts, even my sister... past and present, they've all made Slovak (and my dad's side, Polish) desserts. Prunes, apricots, nuts, are the common fillings used in the cookies and pastries. Delicious.
