No clue why they had Devon have the slight fling with her just to get him out of marrying his fiance. It made him look terrible. Didn't need her then. They could have just had him decide he didn't want the relationship anymore.

TV shows love to go the dramatic route. But, the episode about how a lot of hospitals are culpable in the death of black pregnant women really won me over to Devon again. He was the only one fighting for her, but sadly....

She did! Wow. That is heartbreaking.

The medical scenes mess me up, give me added anxiety. It's difficult because I could never not watch just part of the episodes. The Capricorn in me wouldn't allow it, it would annoy me. Maybe if I binge-watched it would be better. I don't know.

Oh, she really was. She was quite generally brilliant playing the depressed teenager. Having been a seriously depressed sixteen-year-old myself when I first saw season 2, it was like looking in the mirror. I've always been incredibly impressed with Emily capturing this so well when, judging from interviews, she was probably a pretty lighthearted, happy kid.
