Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website. As we want every board to have their own unique look it is preferable that you do not link to the customisations of other boards as suggested colour schemes.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Chelle, or Rora a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes approximately two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have finished making the graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I'm not a regular poster here but I do love the show so figured I could put in my two cents. I think the placement on the current graphic is great, I'd only switch the positions of Jack and Jen. I'd love to add Grams to the new graphic too because she was such an important part of the show, and maybe Audrey as well.

I really like this color scheme: Color spring.

Anyway, looking forward to hearing what you guys want for this board

No offence to Audrey Fans, but since she was only in 2 seasons, I don't think she has a place on the Banner. I would not object to Grams being there, but then that would make it seven people which will either be too busy or too hard to see each of them.

I would like to see grays and yellows in the colour theme.

It depends really. But 7 people wouldn't make it hard to see everyone
(for example, the Black Lightning board has 7 people in the banner and they're all pretty visible. The Riverdale board also has 7 people in it)

Are you still thinking of using the reunion pictures? (for the GT right click, view image to see the pictures HQ or they're also here)

Are the characters in your current banner are Dawson, Joey, Jen, Pacey, Jack, & Andie? Would you consider removing Andie & adding in Grams if you want to stick with 6 characters? I don't know the show or Andie's importance but a thought since she was in the show less than Grams

As Jac has said, that honestly just depends on what you consider as 'busy'. The sizes of the faces can depend upon the pictures also as some work better to be larger than others. I'd recommend taking a look around at other boards to get an idea on how 'busy' 7 characters would look. But I honestly don't think there would be a huge difference in sizes of faces than what you've got now. We aim to make the characters as visible as possible. Hawaii Five-0, The Big Bang Theory, The Flash (sort of), Bones, Girl Meets World, Hart of Dixie, Reign, Scorpion, & The Borgias are all boards with 7 characters in their graphic if you want to look through those. As you'll see, some of them are smaller than others, often due to the board logos (E.G. TBBT & GMW)

I'm all for using the reunion photos, depending on how popular the idea is with others.

As far as removing Andie, I will have to object. I, myself, am not a big fan of the character, but she is a popular character, especially on this board.

I'd love to add Grams if it would be possible. Then again, would it be fair to add her and not add characters like Mitch and Gail?

I think the best option is to just use the characters we have now.

And if I remember correctly, none of the adults of DC were on the promo pics or even the DVDs, just the teens, right ? So I think instead of Grams, Gail or Mitch, we should add Audrey therefore we would have a mix of the main characters from season 1 to season 6, it's just a suggestion though

I'd rather have Grams than Audrey to be honest, but I don't think either is "necessary", unless it's something the posters really want. I'd object to removing Andie as well, she's very beloved

Just want to check, since as I said, I'm not familiar with the show, are these the correct characters?

Dawson | Joey | Jen (in blue) | Pacey | Jack & Andie (I know the guy is Jack)

Is there anyone who should be next to each other? I presume Dawson, Joey, Jen, & Pacey should be the biggest since they were in the show the whole way through? Then Joey should be between Dawson & Pacey? So maybe the order should be Pacey / Joey / Dawson / Jen / Jack / Andie? Another order thought could be Jen / Dawson / Joey / Pacey / Andie / Jack? I'm not sure if Andie is better next to Pacey or Jack? Or if Jack is better next to Andie or Jen?

Then if I'm right about which one is Pacey, would would prefer him with the hat on or without?

I think it should be Jack/Jen/Dawson/Joey/Pacey/Andie. Jack and Jen should be next to each other, imo. And the rest are the triangles and pairings: Jen/Dawson/Joey, Dawson/Joey/Pacey, and Pacey/Andie.

Or did you have any other schemes in mind?

That sounds logical.


I haven't looked at the colour schemes, but will take a quick peek now.

If we go with the Reunion pics, I would prefer Pacey/Josh without the hat, although I'm not convinced that using the Reunion pics is the way to go.

Color View - Not a big fan of these
Color Create (may be harsh on the eyes) - I actually like this colour combination
Slated Tones - I like the colours, but these might be a bit too dull
Bedroom Colours - These would be hard on the eyes
Yellow Roses - I think these are too deep in colour
