YES THIS EXACTLY!!! The writers wrote themselves into a hole with that one mess of a plot for Douglas' conception. That some viewers just won't ever see past. They tainted them with the overcomplicated way they choose to facilitate Ridge's reason to perpetuate the baby lie.
