These Series of Books Just plain Sucked from Book 1. I just can not stand a book that kills off Main and well love Characters. I mean who in their right mind would kill off Chewbaca.
Seriously Folks.. you just don't kill hero's.... Anikin Solo for instance....Solo's Don't get killed. they get to grow old in Retirement. They don't become the Next Sith Lord and kill their Aunt (Jacen Solo)
The whole Yuzzan Vong War was Stupid. Having a Race of People come from some other Galaxy and take over by changing worlds at the sub atomic level. GAG Factor 10.
Ive got a Library of SW Novels. Including most of the NJO series. I have just about every book ever Written. I never thought it would happen but I stopped because ive grone disgusted with the Story Lines.

Is there anyone else out there that Feels the way I do?

I actually haven't read the NJO yet but am already spoiled about the characters deaths. Which while sad and heartbreaking is what happens during a war :(

Don't know much about the Vong but I admit I like the concept of a strange species from another galaxy invading.

There a couple of people on our book thread who are reading the NJO right now and can talk about the series more.

I didn't mean to spoil things for anybody.. Just had to vent my hatred for NJO. Yes Deaths occur in war. But you don't kill off the old Characters Like Chewie and Anikin. Anikin Solo is an old Character because he was around through the YJK Series. Anyone that was Around Before the NJO are old Characters and should NOT be KILLED off.

I just listened to OUTBOUND FLIGHT on CD.. Palpatine claims to know of the Vong, long befor OF even was thought of. The way the book was outlined it has Palpatine as the ocistrator of OF.

Yea that sneaky little :censored: knew about the threat and was planning to prepare the soon to be Empire for the threat.

OF was a good book.
What was it like listening to it on CD? I never heard a book on audio. Well actually I tried once and fell asleep.:look:

Listening to a book on CD is ok.. it was Abridged so I didn't get the whole thing.
The reader did a very good job coming up with Voices for every Character.

Oh no. I can't do abridged :lol:

Would you ever read the book to get the full story or to see of you got a different feel for it?

I love to read. I even Like Zahn. Ive thought about it. but Im just not that intrested in the EU any more. Especialy after what those Stupid people did to lead Characters of the novels..
Ive more or less stopped reading after Luke found that Rouge Planet.
Ive missed out on another war and a few others.

Which novel did that happen in?

it was the novel that ended the war with the Vong.. becaus that Rogue Planet was the original home for the Vong... the planet itself is being controled by a world brain. cant remember the name.. and my library is in boxes.

Rogue Planet has nothing to do with the Obi-Wan/Anakin novel of the same name, right?
