Lando/Billy Dee Williams thread: Blowing up Death Stars is all in a day's work for a hardworking city administrator
Amazingly there doesn't seem to be a Lando thread on this board. Admittedly, he did betray Han and people hold that against him, but he also helped rescue Han and blew up the Death Star. Billy Dee Williams approached the role with the same sort of electric charisma that the main trio had. He was cut from the same cloth -instantly relatable and interesting to watch. I recently watched Williams in the 1989 Batman film, where he plays District Attorney Harvey Dent, all too small a role for such a big talent. It was great to see him again. It mystifies me that he never became a big star, but we can always enjoy his performance in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. So here's a thread for Billy and Lando.

Lando
I was definitely frustrated with his betrayal but it's all played with so much charisma, and he does redeem himself. I would love to see Billy back for the new movies. |
That would definitely be welcome. However, he won't have Han to interact with.
Yeah but he can hug Chewie.
That's true. Chewie won't strangle him this time.
 Plus if we're getting flashback scenes, we can have Han/Lando moments.
True.

When the rumors of TFA first started, I remember Billie made an appearance on a tv show (Conan, I think) teasing the audience. That was before the original trio confirmed their appearance.
That's "Billy", not "Billie". "Billie" is Carrie's daughter.
I can call him whatever I want :P
Dork. :P ;)

For the Han movie they cast an actor as Lando who looks nothing like Billy Dee Williams and that pisses me off.
Yeah that was weird casting. He's a good comedic actor but I haven't seen him act serious.
The casting for this movie is sith.
