He was left on the island to become a Jedi and follow his family's foot steps and I don't that anyone asked him, what he wanted.
Just like Anakin's fate was decided, because he had powers.The Jedi system is definitely flawed. Taking children from their families, forbidding romantic relationships... Not everyone wants that. __________________

I think that to some extent the quote from Rose could be applied to this
“We're going to win this war, not by fighting what we hate, but saving what we love.” They have to fight not against something, but for something. And it's really hard, if there isn't anything or anyone to fight for. __________________
