I still can't believe this came out in July when it's about witches, then it became a Halloween phenomenon. I don't remember it coming out in July myself, I think I might have got into the movie when it aired on TV lol.

Most holiday based movies do not come out around their time. Elf came out in February I believe.

Well I am one of those weird ones that can watch holiday movies any time of the year but that’s just me.

I never saw Elf, but I didn't know that. That's crazy lol. I can watch holiday movies any time of the year too (Especially Halloween movies) but I'm just so used to holiday films coming out around their holidays. Marketing seems so intent on doing that, otherwise it feels out of place for most people.

It would make sense to me that holiday movies come out around their respective holidays but who knows with marketing.

I'm the complete opposite. I cannot watch holiday movies any other time than their respective holidays. It makes them less special to me if I watch them at other times of the year. You'd think it would make it far more sense in a marketing strategy point of view to release movies during their respective holidays.

That’s okay! To each their own. I don’t honestly watch holiday movies that often out of their respective seasons, I just sometimes will because they will cheer me up.
