The story:
From the outside Anna's sister, Elsa looks poised, regal and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret-she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It's a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. Haunted by the moment her magic nearly killed her younger sister Anna, Elsa has isolated herself, spending every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. Her mounting emotions trigger the magic, accidentally setting off an eternal winter that she can't stop. She fears she's becoming a monster and that no one, not even her sister, can help her. One day she run away from the castle, and her sister Anna, a fearless optimist, sets off on an epic journey - teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven, to find Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

I just started S4 of my rewatch of OUAT and I forgot how much I loved the portrayal of the Frozen characters on this show. Absolutely perfect casting and I loved how they took the characters story five years after the end of the film. And something occurred to me - Anna was taught how to use a sword by the soldiers in Arendelle, and we see Anna with a sword at the end of the teaser trailer for Frozen II! Can't be a coincidence, right? :D

Yes! I hope it means we see Anna being taught how to use a sword in Frozen II, which I think would take place in between those 5 years. If they want that connection between the two Frozen stories. That would be awesome. :D

I like that idea! I hope it happens!

Me too!

I am curious if you want to hear & see more or less singing in this film than the original?

livstevi21 02-22-2019 03:25 PM

Well, Frozen worked extremely well as a musical and pretty much all the songs were awesome, (except I'm not so keen on Fixer Upper). I think not having any songs in the sequel at all would be weird, but it'll be hard to beat the original's soundtrack. Though I've read that Robert and Kristen Anderson Lopez are back to write the songs for the sequel, so they should be good. Maybe one or two less songs? Sometimes too many songs can halt the story in the film. :look: Depends on the film though. Mary Poppins has 16 songs and they don't ever feel like they halt the story, just glide it along.

I don't mind the same amount of songs. I think it kind of helped the story.
