IA There should be something that sets this movies apart from the Original.

Love that we get to see Ella as a child with her parents. Also that she gets to meet the Prince before the ball. I don't see how he wouldn't recognize her after their meeting. Even though she was all made up to look like a Princess, he should still be able to tell that it's her. In one of the trailers he asks her, "it's you, isn't it?" So I am assuming he does think that it's the same girl who refused to tell him her name.

I didn't like the trailer the first few times I saw it, but I'm coming around. I'm not holding my breath for greatness, but I know that Disney wouldn't ruin a legacy of something so classic.

I don't see it as living up to a legacy. I've seen quiet a few different versions of Cinderella some I adore than others. This one looks to be sweet and charming. The cast looks wonderful and Kenneth Branagh is a wonderful director!

Ever After was a darker more real version of Cinderella. Danielle was Brave, Adventurous, and Loyal to the ones she loved. She had a tough life, but in the end she came out on top. Demi did a fantastic job.

I liked the musical version with Brandi and Whitney. It wasn't the best for me, but it was o.k. I was 8 or 9 when this version came out. It was the best thing ever at the time.

It's really amazing how many different versions you can get from one story. That's why I never really get tired of seeing new ones. Some tales are just timeless.
