Tracy Flick (Election) Appreciation Thread #1: Pick Flick!
Welcome to the first Tracy Flick (Election) Appreciation Thread Title Election Release Date April 23rd, 1999 Director Alexander Payne Screenwriter Tom Perrotta, Alexander Payne Co-Starring Matthew Broderick, Chris Klein, Jessica Campbell Genre Comedy MPAA Rating R Reese Witherspoon plays Tracy Flick. She is the smartest student in all Carver High and the only one having an affair with a teacher. Her other teacher Mr. McAllister (Matthew Broderick) is the most involved teacher at Carver High and is messing around with his wife's best friend. Elections are coming up and Tracy Flick is the only one running and after seeing Tracy always winning something and doing everything right, Mr. McAllister bribes the dumb jock Paul to run against her for his own pleasure. Tracy is mortified that Paul is even trying to compete. Tammy, Paul's lesbian sister who got dumped by her girlfriend to go with Paul decides that running against her brother is the best revenge. this movie is so funny. if you haven't seen it and like Reese as an actress, i strongly, strongly recommend it.

I just re-watched this movie yesterday. And now for some reason, the picture of her in the science lab with with those goggles on reminds me of the pics from the set of Penelope.. And that always cracks me up

It's been a while since i've seen this movie. Must go pick it up at the local DVD store, since i'm sure it would be discounted (being a fairly aged movie now).

i still think that my favorite part of this whole movie is when she goes on the whole "dear lord Jesus, i do not often speak with you..." on and on and on i laugh so hard every single time i watch it |
