Ever wondered what happened to Bunny Lake Is Missing, a film that Reese has been developing since 2003 (more information on the project here)? Well, now we have an answer, thanks to a recent interview that Bucharest Daily News did with the screenwriter of the movie, Doug Wright.

Did you or did you not write a script for Reese Witherspoon?
I did, I wrote a re-make of a 1960s film called Bunny Lake Is Missing for Reese. Unfortunately I don't think the studio is going to make the script. But I worked on it for almost a year. I wish they were going to, but I think they decided it was too expensive and too high-risk a project. But it was great fun to work on it and it was thrilling to meet her, she is a lovely young actress.

Just really quick, I wanted to say that I love how the Phillippes have made this a Phillippe family summer. The world knows about Reese and Ryan's little pact to never work on a film at the same time, but I didn't think that it was possible for them to take, so far, a whole summer for each other and their children, because you assume that they'd be busy with all their projects, but they make a lot of time for their family and that makes me insanely happy.

at the radiohead show last nite: ryan phillippe and reese witherspoon. not sure what the tabloids are talking about because they looked super cute and in love. also, spiderman and lukas haas with their gfs. impressed at the lack of attitude. everyone seemed to genuinely be there for the band. what a shocker.
