Would you watch that spin-off?

Such a baby in 1993. How would you feel if you got a glimpse into your future and it showed you married to a guy with Ewan's accent? :thud:

Sure. It would have to take place in a far distant future, though, because of T2's ending.

Does this guy also have Ewan's face? If so, bring it on.

I saw T2 today and it was everything i needed it to be. I mean, maybe some of the Spud story was just so/so, but the Sick Boy/Renton bromance more than made up for it. And the music and nostalgia was on point. I'm so glad they finally made this film a reality and that it was totally worth watching. :bunny:

My favorite thing about the Spud storyline was how he is the author of Trainspotting.
Sick Boy/Renton got so much love in T2. Like I think their relationship was even more developed in T2 than it was in TS.

The flashbacks were really well done.

Did you have a favorite scene?

Glad you liked it. :)

T2 = Terminator 2, always and forever

 Way more developed. I mean, I knew they were friends, but I don't think I ever thought of them as BFFs or that their friendship went so far back. It made sense that Sick Boy felt betrayed by Mark, but in the end, he still chose their friendship over revenge, which gave me happy feels.

I really liked the scene where Mark/Simon were both talking about football and Veronica told them in Russian that they were in love with each other.

Also, the stuff in the club before Begbie showed up and found Renton was pretty fun.

In general, I loved the stripped down use of Born Slippy to signify the flashbacks and memories of old times.

Oh, and I really enjoyed Renton and Veronica going to see Diane on Sick Boy's behalf. I thought that was a great scene.

I was saying to Steph a while back how Begbie was angry over Renton's betrayal, but Sick Boy was heartbroken.
In the first movie, I don't think it showed how much Sick Boy loved Renton. This one did well by adding their history, which was in the books.

 She was intuitive.

People laughed at the "she's too young for you," line. I remember the test audience wanting more Diane.

What did you think about the no more Catholics song? I thought it was hysterical.

Definitely. It was way more apparent that their relationship is brotherly, which explains why they sometimes hate each other as much as they love each other. I feel bad that they wasted 20 years apart.

I was left wanting more of her, which is a good thing. I think if I'd gotten more of her I may not have been as happy.

It was hilarious! I imagined Danny writing it in strictly as an excuse to have Ewan sing.

But when they move in together and see each other every day they will make up for those 20 years apart.

You weren't the only one who wanted more. A man at the test screening said he wanted more Kelly

I'm still hoping Renton/Diane end up together like they do in the books.

me too :) And then all of Scotland is asking, when did Renton learn how to sing?

I'd rather he end up with Sick Boy. :P

How much of Porno was actually in the film? Very little I'm guessing.

they're going to be in the same nursing home together and buried beside each other.

the only kinda similar things is that Sick Boy is scheming to make money, Sick Boy has a sorta girlfriend named Nikki - who was turned into the Romanian? girl, and Begbie runs after Renton but a car running Begbie over stops him from killing Renton. Everything else is very different.

Interesting.
