All of his kids are taller than him.

No idea where that is. Could be an old photo since people aren't traveling much now.

No, but it's a nice way of explaining how DNA works to those that don't get why their siblings look different. It's like those biracial couples that have kids, and one inherited a lot of the black DNA from both parents, so looks black; another inherited a pretty equal mix of black/white DNA from both parents so looks biracial; and a third inherited a lot of white DNA from both parents so looks white. My sister-in-law is biracial, but is always mistaken for a Hispanic islander (Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic), and her DNA showed that she's 1/3 black and 2/3 white. Looks like her mother had more dominance in her DNA, but her father was more dominant with her oldest sister. It's all a toss up, so that's why we were eager to see what my nephew was going to look like.

The DNA lottery in kids is much like 52 card pick up.

Throw them in the air and pick up the cards at random to see what mix of DNA comes out.

This explains why some kids might inherit Irish DNA while others don't get any. I wish more of my uncles would take the test, but one uncle doesn't want his DNA out there.
