When people are babies they can move their tongue any way they want and say any word. Then they get older and the ability gets lost.

^ Yea. They actually studied that and we lose the ability to form our tongues in the right ways to make the correct sound.

Which is why when people learn a second language later in life they speak with thick accents.

That's why it's best to learn a language when young. You're a sponge at that age. If not, then you'll most likely just sound like JLM when speaking Spanish. Sounds fluent to non-Spanish speakers, but native speakers are like WTF?
