Non-Ewan Recommendations #27: Let's escape into fiction

Elsa Raven, Back to the Future and Titanic actress, dies at 91

I had no idea Save the Clocktower lady was also Ida Strauss.

RIP

I don't even know who Isa Strauss was. Had to look it up. I only saw Titanic twice, at the most, I think...

Downloaded episode 6 of that astronaut show today. Will probably start the show this weekend once I catch up with my other shows. :)

Nanny still has a tv like the one above underneath her new tv.
Is she a hoarder, too?

How Much is My Old Set Worth?

Oh, and many people are jumping on this deal at Target right now. We have a 65" TCL Smart TV in the living room. That's a great deal for a 65" TV. :thud:

We have these 55" TCL Smart TVs in the bedrooms. :)

Off to watch The Mandalorian! :gone:

No, she is always quick to throw things away

Enjoyed the Mandalorian but OMG Baby Yoda's diet is so gross and Mando needs to keep a better eye on him.

She had no lines in the theatrical release of Titanic. That’s why.

R.I.P. Elsa.

But I remembered what her voice sounded like from the deleted scenes, and I could hear that it was the same when I really thought about it.

Apparently not quick enough if she still has that relic in her house. :goof: Help her move that crap out.

Eh, it's not bothering anyone. It's in a nice wooden cabinet and the newer tv is placed on top of it. No need to get rid of it when it's in nice cabinetry.

Well, you guys seems to be into keeping old stuff for generations, so just don't let Marie Kondo know about it or she'll make sure it goes to the landfill. I picture that lady being like Monica when she hears about Ross' dirty date.

Did you see this opening scene of SNL? Reminded me of how you asked me what I thought about Jim as Biden and I said I was whatever about it, because I was just happy to see Jim in something. Well, this was truly that. The real Jim came out when he did his infamous line from Ace Ventura, much to the pleasure of everyone there. I was like, Jim's back!!!!!! :yay:

Marie Kondo is good about letting people keep things as long as it sparks joy or has some kind of value for them. She doesn't tell people to just dump everything that's out of date or unnecessary in their house if there's something that makes them want to keep it.

I haven't seen Ace Ventura in sooooooooooo long. I think I only saw it when it came out.

S.A.S.H.A. 11-10-2020 12:58 AM

Then she'll never do any good with a hoarder since they'll claim everything sparks joy in their mentally ill minds.

Yeah, I haven't seen it in over a decade, at least. But still a classic line. :)

LilMouse 11-10-2020 01:14 PM

Which is why people who aren't that far gone are the only ones appearing on her show.

S.A.S.H.A. 11-11-2020 12:09 AM

May the others get the mental help they don't think they need.

I was going to start watching the first episode of that astronaut show today, but got sucked into the Family Ties reunion instead.

If you wait 2 more eps, you'll have all of them released and you can do a marathon.

FT does have your #1 love MJF. I understand why you chose him.

BehrItAll 11-11-2020 06:38 PM

Marie Kondo doesn’t do the work for you. She just gives advice on how to let go. And it’s for people who want to let go. If you don’t do step 1 of the 12 steps, her advice is useless.
