Fan Forum's Ewan McGregor Academy Awards
Hello Fellow Ewanites!!
With the upcoming Academy Awards, and our own the moderators of this board decided it might be fun to have our very own Ewan McGregor Academy Awards! What exactly are these awards? We, the fans, will nominate our favorite Ewan roles. The ballot is as follows: Best Picture Best Director Best Actor Best Actress Best Supporting Actor Best Supporting Actress Best Screenplay Best Soundtrack Best Song Best Effects Best Costume and Makeup Best Art Direction Best Cinematography Best Television Show/Documentary or Miniseries Best Actor in a Television Show or Miniseries Best Actress in a Television Show or Miniseries Best Supporting Actor in a Television Show or Miniseries Best Supporting Actress in a Television Show or Miniseries Best Interview If there is a category you think we should add, please let me know. How will this work? The Nomination process will be based on all of Ewan's movies that have been released from the beginning of his career until the end of this year, 2003. Big Fish and Young Adam are both eligible, but Stay, and any movie that he is currently filming or recently finished filming, is not eligible. Example: Best Actor: Ewan McGregor, Moulin Rouge Ewan McGregor, Down With Love Ewan McGregor, Star Wars: Episode II Best Actress: Nicole Kidman, Moulin Rouge, Renee Zellweger, Down WIth Love Here is the list of eligible roles to choose from: (please note that any Leno, Letterman, Regis and Kelly interviews have not been listed, but are eligible.) When nominating, please have a minimum of 3 nominations per category and a maximum of 5. When voting for a particular actor/actress, please indicate for which movie, as we have several actors who have worked with Ewan more than once. Only one vote per member will be allowed. The nominations will begin today, and will end on January 1st. I will give some consideration for the holidays if any of you feel this nomination period should be lengthened. Voting will begin the day after the nomination process has ended, in order to give myself time to sort the nominations. Voting will end on January 16, 2004 and the winners will be announced on January 18, 2004. Ooooh, this sounds like fun. Unfortunately I haven't really seen many of his movies.
Oh well. I'll work on some nominations. Couldn't we ask questions here? [img]smilies/look.gif[/img] It might help keep the thread busy and answer common questions for all ... a FAQ, if you will. __________________

If you can't vote for a certain category such as Interviews or Miniseries, then you can skip it and your votes will still count [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] If we don't get enough nominations for a specific category, that category will be dropped.
