I love that quote of his... I don't think that they have used it in the movies... but it feels fitting for young Bilbo...

... As young Bilbo was looking for adventures, and wasn't into philosophical thoughts... that much at least

I knew that I will enjoy reading The Hobbit after the first scene with Bilbo making use of "good morning"

that's one scenes that the movies have managed to capture perfecy as well

I'm re-reading The Hobbit book right now... It's pretty amazing to see how Bilbo evolves in the books as a character, from being the person who doesn't really want to be there to the one actually saving the day.

Of course with the books there is less focus on the filler could-have-happened which the movies have, but the core message is the same... by the end of the joruney Young Bilbo becomes the Bilbo we got to know & love in LOTR...
