This is Hobbit Film related, but cool news.
 Peter Jackson to receive top award from IBC by HOBBIT MOVIE NEWS on AUGUST 17, 2013  Peter Jackson, famous director of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies will soon be awarded by the IBC or International Broadcasting Convention for highest honor in recognition of his work “fostering the relationship between technology and creativity” in the film industry. Of course, Peter Jackson has been in the film business for quite some time and has already made quite a name for himself in the past even if some of his films were not really box office hits but then went on to become cult hits in their own right. Born in New Zealand and now 51, it seems that filming for The Hobbit film trilogy has ended but it seems that he’ll soon be moving to new projects like the sequel the Adventures of Tintin which will be set for release sometime in 2015. The award will be presented at the IBC Conference in Amsterdam on Sunday 15 September, 2013. Other recipients of the International Honor For Excellence include James Cameron of Titanic and Avatar fame and David Attenborough. Indeed, one can almost say that this kind of recognition for Peter Jackson is long overdue. SOURCE |
