Nah, My friends from NZ have been hearing that Viggo was going back there to film for the hobbit since before production started XD and he has two horses there to visit!

But I think it's confirmed that he won't appear in the movie - because of the story. Viggo said he would have liked it, but it won't happen.

I think that it was that they never asked him despite that if they had had a good story to include Aragorn he would have liked to do it, but as said, they never asked him
