He was such a down-to-earth character, and a true friend to Frodo both in the books, and in the movies.

Frodo really couldn't have reached the end goal without Sam stubbornly following him to everywhere...

I think there's no way Frodo would have got close without him.

I was thinking about Sam today. I love the progression of his character,whilst remaining true to who he is. He had to take over whilst Frodo was incapable of making decisions, and had never been in that position before. He showed so much resilience.

If he was not earsdropping, the ring wouldn't be carried to mordor :D
