I remember the first time I watched the movie, I went the entire film trying to work out who was playing Balin - I just couldn't put my finger on it, and then I saw his name in the credits and wanted to punch myself

I've never heard of Ken before, but it's hard to recognize any of the dwarves with all that makeup!

I recognised his voice first, it bugged me the entire time I watched the movie the first time trying to place him

The makeup was too good, made it tough!

He was just so perfect. I think people forget that Balin left Erebor at the same time as Thorin, it's just as big of a deal to him going back there
