Same for me. I love that the show went against the norm and defied my expectations. There was no reason to pit Lucy and Kara against each other, but I feel that any other show would have anyway.

The thing that really gets me is that when Lucy figured out how Kara feels about James, she never once tried to make her feel guilty about it, she didn't blame her, she didn't even let Kara know that she had figured it out - if she had, Kara would likely have felt bad for something she doesn't really have any control over. Lucy is seriously a fantastic person.

Same. They're not resorting to petty repetitive drama like most other shows do. TV is in such a state in general right now that I, and others that I saw mentioning it on other sites, went into the finale expecting Lucy to die - now that she's no longer James' girlfriend she's served her purpose so they'll get rid. Still slightly stunned by the fact that she didn't, that the writers saw her as more than James' girlfriend, more than a plot device, and that they don't think her no longer being someone's girlfriend makes her expendable.

Nope, it's the same for me. Seeing the way how a lot of other shows treat their women when I watch them really make me appreciate it all the more, too. It's not that every other show is bad, some of them are pretty good with it, it's just that Supergirl's better.
