Oh :yay: I guess I'll at least try to join you! :D

You can totally tell by watching the pilot they taped it way earlier than the others due to the leaves off the trees. You notice small things on a rewatch .

Lutesse 01-14-2014 09:37 AM

I'm going to watch the pilot this evening.

Lauren Helen Graham 01-14-2014 12:08 PM

I'll watch it at the weekend the latest and I already look forward to it :) I'm sure there's a lot I might have missed when watching it at first, too ;)

Lutesse 01-14-2014 02:37 PM

Me too, Kris! I think we're at a good distance from the original airings, far enough to seem fresh but close enough to pick up new details.

eta: Watched the Pilot tonight and the extra features. It was so hard not to go on to Ep 2! :thud:

I watched the pilot a while ago and I have a photographic memory. I can remember exactly what happened in the episodes; provided they weren't boring parts. It was a great start to this series; but one thing I wonder is; why did Joe just stand there when the plane was falling and not jump immediately when the pieces fell? Anyone would've done that in a heartbeat. Sad about the cow that got killed; but I wouldn't want to eat the meat from it cause the dome could've contaminated the carcass. It was a great pilot anyway's :)

Lutesse 01-15-2014 08:51 AM

I think Joe was frozen in disbelief at what he was seeing. His mind was processing it. I don't feel that's an uncommon reaction at all.

No, I wouldn't want to eat that cow's meat, either.

:high_five: Thanks.

 Joe was in shock. Almost like a deer in the headlights. They don't move. They just stare at you.

Going back to the pilot I remember not liking Joe very much. Funny as he's now one of my faves.

Lutesse 01-16-2014 11:38 AM

Well, in the Pilot we didn't know that Joe would become important except in the last moments when he fell and had the Pink Stars seizure.
I liked that he was the first to go looking for a power source, before any adult thought of it. I always love nerds/geeks, what can I say?
Oddly enough, in my memory Joe was the first to seize, but on re-watch I realize that was actually Norrie.

Angie's line about the goldfish is now classic, setting the stage for the entire series imo. :D

MaybeSomeday 01-16-2014 03:00 PM

Yeah Norrie had her seizure when the truck hit the dome. Despite that fact another memory I have back then was I thought Norrie and her moms would be really minor characters. Apparently I was stupid.
