Julia is the only person who received a vocal message from the mini-dome. Hmm...

I would love to know PinkStars theories. She is really accurate. It's almost scary.

I've been thinking about the timing of baby Alice's birth.

I think the "intelligence" that controls the dome wanted Harriet to have her baby when she did because it knew Alice's expertise would be required, and Alice was going to die. That was inevitable without insulin. This would mean the entity that controls the dome had probed Harriet's womb and knew the umbilical cord was wrapped around baby Alice's neck. I might extrapolate from that the intelligence has an interest in the human reproductive process.

Nice... I buy it. Even if the nurses had assisted in births before, there is no guarantee they would know what to do in that situation.

I wonder if Baby Alice will come back into play. I wonder if the writers had Barbie delivering the baby because it's a skill he will need later on in the series. They could have had Julia or Carolyn doing it, but they picked Barbie. I thought that was an interesting choice.

Back to the "intelligence", do you think the initial shock is a body scan? It makes sense. I never really thought about it until I read your theory.

It would have to be more than a body scan. It not only made Harriet go into labor, it knew what would make her touch the dome - her husband's image. So it either probed her mind as well - and/or- read the baby's dna to create a hologram of him. Similar to the ET in the movie Starman.

Episode 11 prediction...
Okay, so starting with the mini dome. I think the four kiddos touching it has somehow unlocked something. The previews are extremely vague, so it's hard to say what the intent is with the mini dome; however, so whatever the kids did either deactivated it or pissed it off - enter cgi tornado.

Junior and the gun - don't think he is in Julia's house because when he runs outside and saves Angie, he has the gun in hand. I think it was just an editing tool to trick the viewer. Plus, Junior and Julia did share some screen time early on, and he wanted her to call him James, so I don't think he would be so reckless as to shoot her.

Pretty sure that Agatha is dead. I know Mare Winningham is listed as a guest star, but if her face even appears, dead or alive, she gets episode credit. This is going to royally piss off Maxine. As for Maxine, I'm sticking with my previous prediction. She shows up to tell Julia about Barbie after he spurned her the night before, and Julia is going to play it all cool - can I get a Bitch, please! I still think Max shoots Julia. It seems too obvious, but in the promo picture I think she is holding a gun behind her back.

The tornado. I think when Julia is shot, the dome gets pissed. This is the cause of the storm. I believe that Julia is the monarch and connected to the dome in some way. The storm picks up after she is shot, and we get super crazy when she codes. Of course, jack of all trades, Barbie, can deliver babies, go Tyler Durden Superman punch on someone, and save lives. He will save her, and I believe that will put him in good favor with the dome.

Big Jim and Barbie. I think we will get a little bit of this story this week. There is obviously a confrontation between the two, but it is unclear why Barbie is running through the woods. Barbie isn't rocking his long sleeve jean shirt at that point, so it seems this happens after the Julia incident. I think he goes to the cement factory to find max and finds big Jim instead. Big Jim will weasel his way out of Linda's clutches.

I wonder how it created the hologram without her touching the dome.

PinkStars, that's a great theory. It seems like the dome has an emotional connection to Julia. It actually speaks to her and no one else. It will be interesting to see if her being shot causes the storm to brew.

I almost forgot...what happens to Maxine? I think the dome is going to take care of her by way of a fallen tree smashing her or the tornado eating her up...okay that's really what I would like to see happen, but it's a possibility if she is the one who shoots Julia and there is a connection between her and the dome. Barbie will probably get framed for it by Big Jim.
