I kept going between thinking it was legit and thinking it had to be a dream or something, up until the shootout at the end and then I knew there had to be something going on

It reminded me of a "Smallville" episode with the same theme, which is based off of the Michael Douglas Movie: "The Game" with Sean Penn too!

there a couple of shows and movies that have done themes/plots like this, I was reminded of one when I was watching the ep but I can't recall what it was
