Thanks for the new thread Tracey.

The OP here has really shaped up nicely.

Thanks for this. I've been watching a lot of TOS recently, and it's amazing how often episodes end with Captain Kirk getting into a fist fight with someone.

Yeah, Kirk had no problem getting physical and routinely wound up with a ripped shirt.

He always did! The stunt doubles made me laugh as they were on screen for so long, you could see they were nothing like the actors! They did it differently in those days!

Yes, they did. Special effects in particular have come a long way.

Every time I watch classic Trek, I notice Shatner's stunt double, and it's so obvious. Of course, I'm watching the show on a big TV, not a thirteen-incher. I think Shatner's stunt double might have filled in for Bones in "Bread and Circuses," too. It sure looked like the back of his head. But maybe a different stunt double had the same haircut as Shatner's stunt double?

What about all the 'dramatic' pauses in his speech?

Shatner certainly has his own style, but he really brought the character of Kirk alive.

In some episodes, they're spectacular ("Why ... must Spock die?"). In others, they're hardly noticeable.
