It would make sense that they were referring to that. Pike is already burdened by what he's seen in store for him, and definitely didn't want them to give him something else to worry about.

Yeah, pressing him to enjoy his birthday and have people around him more, seems to hint at something bad in the future.

This episode was hilarious and also loved how the transition of the lower decks characters into live action.

Really enjoyed it.

I loved the crossover! I haven't seen much of Lower Decks but I've seen enough to understand what was going on. Great humour, and it worked really well.

I've only watched a couple of episodes of Lower Decks. Might have got more out of this episode if I watched LD regularly, but can't say that I felt I was missing anything by not being familiar with that franchise.
