Jaylah/Sofia Boutella thread: Fey, fierce new female face of Trek

I finally watched Star Trek Beyond and I knew I'd like Sofia Boutella's performance, after having seen her in Kingsman, but she was GREAT. Sofia seemingly had no problem giving us a character with fire, vim, vitality, personality. Fey and fierce, she's the great new female face of Star Trek. Seeing as she's joined Starfleet Academy, hopefully we'll see her again. She made the movie for me. Though it was in general enjoyable. I just wish they'd given her a bigger role.

Thanks for the new thread. Glad you enjoyed the movie.

Jaylah was a great character, It was funny when she sat in the Captain's chair, and didn't want to get out of it.

She didn't understand why it should be an issue.

She was the best character in Beyond and I too hope we haven't seen the last of her. Star Trek Beyond was a great movie with a great story, and it really delivered.

Whoops! It's a tad big. I'll have to remember to resize it.

I liked the dialogue nods to TOS and seeing the Trek V cast photo and Enterprise-A at the end of the movie made it extra special for me, a TOS fan since the mid-80s.
