CBS has booked studio space in Toronto. Star Trek will start filming this fall after Fuller finishes up with American Gods, and the premiere will air on CBS but the show itself will air in 2017 on CBS’s All-Access streaming service. While there has been no official announcement about the cast, there has also been no confirmation that the show will feature the USS Enterprise, but there is a sense that it will take place between the Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The studio that was the home of “RoboCop,” “Suicide Squad” and even “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” will now have a new permanent tenant. Pinewood Toronto Studios, a massive studio of more than 250,000 square feet, will be the new home of the upcoming Star Trek television series, The Hollywood Reporter says.

Star Trek: Discovery first trailer released

First season will consist of 15 episodes, and the first episode will premiere on CBS before shifting to CBS All Access. There will also be an aftershow, called Talking Trek.

I like the trailer but tbh I hate the look of the klingons. They should've made them look like in the original series or next generation. But maybe the look has something to do with the plot.

It also looks like the plot has changed a bit. It looks like Michael Burnham is first officer of Captain Georgiou and not of jason isaacs character as previously announced.

Agree with you about the look of the Klingons. Maybe it will fit in with the explanation given in Enterprise as to different look of Klingons between TOS and TNG?

Honestly, I'm not sure what to think from the trailer.

The pic on the bridge looks incredible clearly they didn't skimp on set or costumes. I now understand why they're releasing it on the networks own platform. Curious to see how many cough up $ to watch.
