they usually get reunited, but it's a stressful situation for sure.

There was a big fire downtown this morning right by the park where part of the Scottish Festival was being hosted. It delayed some of the scheduled events, but they were able to start up at 1. They had to cancel the massed bands parade this morning, so they did it tonight.

Dave - the building housed a laundromat, real estate office, and other office. Nobody was hurt. Thanks for thinking of that.

It was a hot and humid Sunday here.

Sleep wasn't bad as far as weekend goes, but I wouldn't say I really got any extra.

Another work week to get through

Dave - I'm not sure, but considering they were businesses, I'd hope so. Not sure what the people who relied on the laundromat will do. Wouldn't be much fun carting dirty laundry out of town to get it washed.

Johnnie - hope you have a good week

Hubby's going for bloodwork this morning, then we'll go out for breakfast.

Chris.... hopefully some of these people who use the laundry mat can go over to a family members house to use their washing machine until they can find another one in town...or town nearby. Have a great breakfast

Johnnie...I sleep better in the winter than in the summer generally... you can use a blanket to keep warm...but in the summer...nothing is going to hide you from the year... except a high electric bill b/c of air conditioner...which I won't do.... I do have 2 stand up tower fans..the old one is still alive...believe it or not

That was the only laundromat in town. Not sure where the next closest one is. Probably in one of the neighboring towns, about a 35-40 minute drive.

I can't sleep if I'm too hot. I always have a fan running at night, even in the winter. we have several fans because hubby because of family members discarding them and hubby takes them and fixes them.

I feel bad for those people who lost their only laundry matt then...hope they have some close family members close by.

That is pretty cool that your husband can fix fans.... sometimes when fans make a weird count...all it needs is an Air Cleaning....or a very small brush that can fit inbetween the outisde vents for the Tower fans.

Hubby will try to fix almost anything. Except electronics. It saves us a lot of money. Although maybe not when I factor in the price of all his tools ....

Wound up doing a quick run to the city this morning. Hubby decided that just one more vent on the roof looks funny, so wanted to get another one.

I mean, Summer at least you can limit your blankets you use when sleeping, but yeah... a fan can help, AC would be better.

DDO down for a bit tomorrow... maybe I should go to Superstore and pick up a few things... I haven't been to the grocery store since like early May.

Dave - I'm not much of a city person anymore. The traffic and crowds just get overwhelming. The small city we went to yesterday isn't too bad if we go in the back way. It gets us straight to the far side where most of the stores are, and avoid the congestion of downtown.

Johnnie - I don't know how you get by without regular trips to the grocery store.

I started my day by pouring my coffee then spilling it all over. Had to mop the floor, and change my pants and socks. Not a great way to start the day. At least there was still a little coffee left in the pot.

I go to Walmart b/c it's the closest food store in my area and it sells everything...not just food

Johnnie...hope you get some great sales
