Then again we can thank the writers for their peek into the intimacies Odo and Kira shared. We saw the massage that Odo gave Kira (ONLY he can give her that), and the way they finally made love in "Chimera."

That was so sad, when he heard her say, "I'm in love with you too." I think that's another reason he rejected Lola so fast when she leaned in to kiss him. He only wanted to kiss Kira. When he knew it WAS Kira with him on the Promenade, he was definitely a willing participant.
