I love Kira and Odo's relationship, and I wish we'd gotten more time with them as an actual couple on the show. But I'm glad that we got what we did before he merged with "the soup," as Nana Visitor called it ().

- Odo pretends to be somebody named Wex (completely different appearance). Kira interacts with Wex briefly, but Jake notices that everytime Kira enters Wex seems distracted, unable to look anywhere else but at Kira. At one point, Kira's life is in danger and Wex happens to be right there. Suspicious of Wex's motives, Kira draws her phaser and holds it, aiming it at Wex. Wex immediately changes form, showing that it's actually a Changeling ... and it's actually Odo. They embrace, and share a moment similar to their parting moment ... where Kira puts her hand to Odo's cheek and he kisses it. She teases him that he could have said something, and he replies, "You seemed busy at the time."

During Quark's POV segment shortly before the epilogue, Odo and Kira enter Quark's and Quark seems to think that Kira seems a little tired recently (probably from all the "Odo-ing," he thinks) . Odo is standing at Kira's side, holding her hand, when Bajor joins the Federation. Odo ultimately in the relaunch decides to remain with Kira and not return to the link, since he feels he's done what he can. He will leave it to Laas.

They end up together, and happy .

Oh its from a novel than its canon unless anything specified said about novels not being canon [like SW's novels being decanonized]
