I'll always love this show. It was the liveliest of TOS's many spinoffs. Sometimes a bit too ridiculous, but emotionally deeper than the other Treks, with real humanity and great characters, not to mention an epic and complex storyline. Sisko is one of the best captains, Kira Nerys is possibly the best Star Trek female character and there are great characters like Quark, Odo, Bashir, Jadzia, etc.

While most episodes could stand alone, overall there was a lot more continuity in this show with routine references to past events.
