Great episode. It dealt very well with the experience of minorities. Yetide Badaki, who played Neera, is Nigerian, just like Babs Olusanmokun (MBenga). It's good to see Star Trek using African actors. They're too often neglected by Hollywood, even in films set in Africa. Some powerful performances and speeches this episode.

Good episode, it showcased that there is racism or better speciesism in the federation. Reminded me of the TNG episode Drumhead which also featured the topic of racism/speciesims.
