Looks cool, probably the romulans going by the fireball-like weapon fired at them.

Good finale :D

- Pike thinking about his fate..
- So yet again time travel is coming into this...
- Seems future Pike is wearing the uniform for TUD era..
- Erica in this timeline is hard talking...
- Uhura in her coms seat :D
- James T. Kirk!!!!
- Romulans!!!
- Spock is just as shocked as the crew are in seeing the Romulans..
- Seeing La'an in a yellow uniform was a bit strange..
- So this is sort of 'Balance of Terror' TOS eppy
- Sam telling Pike about Jim :lol:
- Liking Pike and Kirk working together :)
- So changing the future resulted in war :eek:
- Scotty!!!! and Spock :D
- Spock :eek:
- I did wonder where Una was, why is she in prison ?
- So Kirk telling Pike what he would have done in the situation, well ;)
- Pike has now accepted fate...
- Una! :eek: now Pike got to get his number one back!

All in all I thought it was a good finale and like how they sort of retold 'Balance of Terror'. Must admit Paul cast as Kirk didn't really hit it..

I thought on the whole S1 was wonderful :D, bringing the Star Trek feel back :D and for me by far and away the best Trek of the new Trek..

Hope to watch tonight. Cable was down yesterday.

Finally had a chance to watch

- pasta with Pike! Is that the girlfriend from the premiere?
- Pike interacting with his future self was fun to see
- James T Kirk on the Farragut! Sam's assessment of Jim is bang on.
- good crew reaction to realizing that the Romulans look like Vulcans, and the subsequent wariness of Spock
= Erica - they started it! M'Benga - this isn't a schoolyard:lol:
- Una's been in prison 7 years just for being Illyrian? :eek:
-Pike's impressed by Kirk's back up plan :D
- I'm an engineer not a miracle worker :D:D:D :yay:
- story line very reminiscent of TOS- Balance of Terror & TNG - Tapestry
- not sure about this version of Jim Kirk but I guess it;s early to judge. First impression is that he has the self confidence, but not the swagger or charisma

While I loved Hemmer as engineer, I won't complain if we get to see Scotty.

Also loved the reveal about how important Spock's contributions will be to the future.

Finally watched the finale and it was really good tbh, def looking forward to the next season. So far the best new trek show by far. Much better than picard or discovery.

I loved the whole retelling of the plot with the enterprise's first encounter with the romulans.

::nod: it was an amazing first season. Often paying tribute to TOS, but putting their own spin on things, Also a nice variety of serious and fun in the episodes,

Tbh I knew when they announced the show and the cast that this would be much better than the others.

:nod: I had high hopes after seeing Pike, Spock & Una introduced on Discovery.

Wonderful that we weren't disappointed with this show.:D
