It was a good premiere; now, I think I probably need to re-watch The Cage, because it's been a long time since I've seen that episode.

I think this was a good start on the whole..

- I like that Pike's storyline continued from S2 'Discovery' what with him seeing his future and trying to deal with that.
- Good introduction to the new characters and I like them as well, which is the main thing. I'm sure we'll know more about them as the season continues.
- Quite liked the storyline of the week, the repercussions of what they did in 'Discovery' comes back to haunt them..
- So Spock is engaged

.
- I think the core 3 of Pike, Spock and Number One are a good core 3
- and Lt. Kirk is on board

I thought it was a good premiere

@ T'Pring complaining about Spock's "gallivanting"
- like that Spock mentions missing his sister, and the other references to their time on Discovery
- interesting about Pike's struggle with the knowledge of when and how he'll die. Later in the eppy being told "not believing you're going to die is what gets you killed" gives him some perspective that maybe the future isn't set in stone.
- liking the relationship between Pike & Spock

@ Spock's "where are my pants?"
- their reaction to the elevator music!

- Pike's "take me to your leader" - I'll bet he never thought he'd have the chance to say that
- woah, wouldn't want to mess with the Gorn!

- Uhura's "cool" was perfect!

It's kirk's older brother. He also appeared in TOS.
