I think it's a he. After hearing him say "The obvious tension between us makes me uneasy," I hope we're getting some cute and funny scenes between him and the blonde cyberneticist. That would be great! (And since he grew up in some kind of monastery amongst nuns I guess his experiences with women is limited to "do not touch them".)
