I'm curious. The story sounds more interesting than the last two seasons tbh.

I thought it was an ok premiere...

- Was intrigued with what the mystery was and since 24th century was mentioned, I did then think maybe something to do with TNG/DS9
- Lovely seeing Tilly again with the crew..
- Rayner is quite brash and likes to do thing his way
- Nice scenes with Paul and Hugh and Adira, do make a nice family
- So Saru is now engaged!
- Seeing that synth look so much like Data, I did think that his name might be mentioned.
- Ahh I knew it was something to do with TNG
- So Saru has a new job offer and I hope he doesn't take it..
- This season is basically doing 10 episodes which a TNG did it in one , weak storyline for me..

- Thought it was a decent episode, although several scenes were very reminiscent of Star Wars scenes
- an Infinity room?
- not sure about this Rayner guy, he doesn't seem like a team player
- Loved seeing Tilly working with the crew again.
- Paul's admission that he's a pack rat, so has what they need
- Saru is engaged! Loved his realization that T'Rina is his family. Also that he took Tilly's advice to the effect that life is short to heart.
- looks like Michael and Book are going to work things out
- nice references to TNG, and enjoyed seeing the picture of Picard

Extremely underwhelmed by the episode and new characters. I noticed the Star Wars similarities too, even the music! What’s happening!

The speeders through the desert really reminded me of Star Wars.

The automatically deployed space helmet struck me as a bit too much on the fantasy side.

Overall, this eppy really blew the budget on special effects. I would have preferred to see more story telling.

Well it certainly didn't have much budget for sets, did you notice how the romulan ship set was basically just the exact discovery set but with black paint and green lights? Looked quite cheap tbh.

Back in the 90s treck shows they at least took some care to do individual, designs, even on the original series they put more effort into it lol.

hmm ... can't say I noticed that. Considering it was supposed to be so old, I wasn't expecting much.

Well i was expecting a new set that looked a bit more like 90s tng, but yet it was the exact same set with green lights.

Overall the episode was rather underwhelming.

I kept forgetting to watch Discovery. But got around to the first episode. Unfortunately I found this episode a bit dull, with a number of cliches. I hope it improves.
