Loved that Saru took charge. He's a great leader, giving positive reinforcement to the crew, and telling them they needed to prioritize getting things fixed, then they could figure out where they are. Also that he stood up to Georgiou.

I forgot about Paul being injured last season. the scenes between him and Hugh were sweet.

Liked the realism of having blood on the white medical uniforms in sick bay.

Georgiou about Saru taking Tilly on the away mission “Are you trying to get us all slaughtered? She has as much psychic dominance as a kitten.”
Then Saru reassuring Tilly; "You, Ensign Tilly, are a wonderful first impression" :love:

:eek: at the people on the planet suggesting they could shave and sell Tilly's hair! :eek:

Georgiou: Did I interrupt a critical moment of diplomacy? :lmao:

Who knew Saru could fight like that? That Georgiou could more than hold her own was no surprise to us, but those men certainly weren't expecting it.

Georgiou: I LIKE my weapon!

Something is definitely up with Detmer. Didn't something happen to her towards the end of last season? With the nanites invading her maybe?

Enjoyed Reno's snark. Hope we see more of her this season.

Thought it was a terrific episode. I'm really looking forward to next week.

I knew Saru could fight.... Universal Law of Nature - all living species [animal/ alien] are created with either a high defense mechanism with include offensive attacks.

Detmer will probably have a small storyline of her own this season I'm thinking...

Btw, I just installed a bigger screen (31.5"). The crash and the landscape look so marvelous on it. I was watching on a 19" screen for years.

:nod: Saru is reluctant to fight, but has proven that he knows how to defend himself. Also loved that he told Tilly to duck behind the bar before the fight got started. Then her conking somebody on the head with a bottle!

:cool: It doesn't take long to get used to a bigger screen. Sounds like you're already appreciating the difference.

This, hands down, is my FAVORITE episode of S3!! So many amazing Georgiou moments from start to finish!

Tilly: You have some Leland on your shoe.
Philippa: I had to make sure he was really dead.
Saru: Do you require medical attention?
Philippa: Of course not.

She did!! And her fight scenes are always my favorite to watch!! She's so fluid!

:nod: she is, and her slight build gives her the advantage of people who don't know her underestimating her fighting skills.

All anyone see's is a tiny woman. and certainly get SHOCKED when that tiny woman kicks their @$$! lol!

I imagine she enjoys setting them straight about her abilities.
