the whole episode played out like a moive

What I liked
-Saru was finally able to convince his fellow species Calpaian to face his fear and go into the room and end the hologram
-Final Burnham fight... even though it ended with a gun shot after holding her breath
- Adimeral turned out to be good afterall...so just one enemy this season
-Burnham becoming captain... even though I saw that coming after she was dismissed from being Number One
-Hope Tilly can be Number 2
-No cliff hangers - so if they decided to end the series...that would be a good ending
-all the fight scenes were cool

what I disliked
-Book being tortured
-near death of crew after life support was turned off on some of the ship
- Paul was pretty much out of the episode and may have issue with Burnham for a while
-Trade Federation firing on Discovery even though they knew crew was being held hostage
-it was long... thank goodness for pause... a little over an hour...I didn't read the legnth of the show...thought it was 40 min... and was worried ending would be rushed

I am really happy with this season finale! Saru being home was such a teary moment for me! Seeing how much his home world had changed was beautiful!

I thought this was a good season finale..

- Really liked the Saru/ Su'Kal friendship in this eppy
- Aww Paul, command putting the task in hand in front of his family
- Tilly, I thought she did really well in command, even though it goes against everything with the command structure
- Lovely scene with Hugh meeting up with kids, especially Grey, very moving scene that. My fave of the eppy
- Michael rescuing Book was good, I did wonder how he would get out of there.
- When Owosekun said she loved her friends , I was worried her and glad her and Reno rescued the robot
- Michael going John McClane again!, rescuing everyone
- I am glad Saru returned to his home planet with Su'Kal , and help him with his journey. I wonder what his decision will be in s4
- Good to hear a little about Vance’s private life.
- So I knew Burnham would get Captain in the end…although I do not like their new uniforms at all.

All in all I think S3 was a hit and miss season, did think the addition of new characters was , but the overall storyline wasn’t that great tbh.

agree Tracey.... distant future tv shows are sort of overdone... and I'm not a fan of Uniforms....

next season...lets just have one Captain instead of 3....although Burnham proves over and over...Captain is just a title...it's the person who makes tough decisions who's the star of the ship

- didn't like seeing Book tortured.
- the bit about Su'Kal causing the Burn still seems a bit of a stretch to me
- lovely scenes between Saru & Su'Kal. It made sense for Saru to decide to stick with Su'Kal for a while
- Tilly did a terrific job as acting Captain and really needs a promotion. It was good that she recognized that she should step aside for Michael
- nice bit of background about the Admiral, and the bit about his daughter having her own way of doing things helped explain why he'd make Michael Captain
- it was good to see Hugh bonding with Adira and Grey and realize that he considers them family as much as Paul does.

They tied up the storylines and overall I thought it was a good finale.

Chris... Tilly was a good captain for the short time... when Saru gets back on the ship...I'm sure the 3 will have a nice talk or have a board game contest to see who gets the Captains chair

Burnham functions better as being rogue in critical situation

Good, they wrapped it up!

It still annoyed me that Su'Kal was an adult. The storyline would have made more sense for a kid or a teen.

Lovely to see Burnham in the chair after all. I'm still waiting for Tilly's promotion, I hope it comes in the first eppy next season.

I loved how the bridge crew fought together.

Totally agreed on that.

Good episode. I felt sorry for Paul. I hope he can bond with Michael again though.

I think they are going to need a good long talk next season...

about Tilly needing a promotion, it doesn't make sense otherwise...

Wouldn't he have been a teen when the Burn happened?

they worked together really well.

Agree about seeing the crew party to celebrate overdue promotions. Although Discovery has been pretty good to give us a couple of scenes each season of the crew socializing.

I would need to find that scene...but he looked more like a kid than a teen when he cried out and caused the Burn
