I like how they emphasize how early captains were more military men (and women). More impulsive, and risk-taking.
It makes historic sense. But it still makes me miss Picard-style leadership. __________________

Look at what Lorca is going through, and will still have to endure. He's getting tortured just to ensure the mission is completed. But I don't think he'll be prepared for what the Emperor has planned.

The torture chambers don't look fun a all.
 They kinda remind me of the suicide booths from Futurama though.  __________________

I've rewatched this episode now, and I'm finding it hard to like it. I did love Lorca doing the Scottish accent, but that was the only light moment in a very dark episode. The death of the doctor, Michael fighting for her life, Lorca being tortured were all so hard to watch. I liked Ash and Michael and having it go this way was painful, too. I'm not loving the mirror universe aspect either.

 Was right  so starting the AU story lineIntrigued that 1st officer the one that fills fear had that when Ash came onto the bridge  interestingTully trying to get a reaction from her superior [can't remember which is which when it comes to the guys aka Scientist and his love DR]At least Lorca  is recognizing that he pushed Paul to hard not sure about his decision to remove Dr cause of how he's boyfriend of Paul  I kinda agree with the decision The reveal of Ash speaking KlingonOh wow the opposite Discovery is in their universe - and Tully and Lorca  Going Scottish  to mask his voiceOH wow did Ash just kill the doc__________________
