Yep. They ended up being together and they didn't care what anyone thought of them being together.
He didn't care what his parents thought either.

This is in the scene at the end when you last saw them

Yeah it was cute that they got together.
I think it shows you that if you truly love someone, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks. You can be happy together.

And back then I think it was more frowned upon since that was way back in the day.

I think I'll listen to it again... and again and again.

Also I'm glad he didn't listen to his parents, because his parents didn't like that he was with someone of color. It was about time he stood up to them.
