Yeah, Caitlin looks a little old - so does Lyndsy - she actually looks 23. I just love Caitlin's skin colouring because it's true to the book.

I reallly REALLY don't want coloured contacts. No blue eyes is a dealbreaker for Peeta for me.

Agreed SFM. :nod: I'm okay if the actor doesn't look completely like how I imagine Peeta to be but the blue eyes are a must have, IMO.

BTW guys, are you okay if I do a revamp of the OP? :) I thought that since so many gorgeous arts, links and quotes have been posted recently, that I could reorganize it to fit everything ... and it should be in time for the new thread.

I like Caitlin for the skin coloring too. :) But I do think Lyndsy looks a lot younger than her even if she's older in real life.

I don't mind if the OP gets organized. The next thread is the 5th one, so maybe we should redo it.

Pia, that looks like such a good movie -- glad Josh was great in it. :) I'm opposite from you, hee -- I actually like Lyndsy for Katniss better than Josh for Peeta.

I agree, Ann, I think she would physically be a better fit for Madge than for Katniss. :) I think Imogen has the acting chops for either role though.

Thanks for the update, Sarah! As much as I love both Hugh Laurie and RDJ -- I don't think they physically fit the role of Haymitch. I pictured him to be more heavyset... but personality wise, they're both spot on. :)

Pia, I think KC fits Effie well. She's bubbly and bright just like her. I don't mind Elizabeth Banks (I love her! :love:), and she's got a great sense of humor, but she can also play the 'cold, icy blond' as well. Maybe that's why I don't see her as Effie that much, but I wouldn't mind her at all! :D She could definitely do it.

I have to say no to Lucas Till -- he's just too 'Disney' to me. :lol: But I agree with you about the blond and blue eyes for Peeta -- it just makes it too complicated if the actor doesn't have those looks naturally. :nod:

I agree, Pia. I think Caitlin looks a lot older for her age, and Lyndsy even looks younger than her. Even my favorite for Katniss, Olivia Thirlby, looks younger than Caitlin, and she's the oldest of the three girls. Caitlin gets paired up with Toby a lot for the P/K fan arts, and they kinda look odd sometimes together just because Toby looks so much younger than her. Caitlin and Hunter look nice together though. :)

That's a good idea, Sarah. :nod: But for the arts though, I don't think we should include too many -- it might get cluttered and busy looking. Plus, for a lot of the arts, I don't know who the makers are.

I have an idea for the art for the OP -- I think we should just have one main one like we do right now, but we should vote on a different actor portrayal for each new thread. For instance, right now the actors are Toby/Caitlin. I think we should have a different pair for the next one. What do you guys think ? :)

Caitlin is only 20, so she's still young. Her acting has improved a lot since her younger days.

This trailer for Tomorrow When The War Began kind of shows you her acting and this is probably the role that convince me that she would be a good Katniss.

I think it might be hard having a new pair every thread, especially I'm already making a new OP with Kaya/Hunter. I think we should just use the actors that is favourable for everyone and I think Kaya/Hunter is the one.

Why not? I don't have any preferences. All the art looks pretty to me.

It was a really good movie. I recommend it. I'm actually "meh" on both of them for THG. Josh is just a better actor overall.

But I did watch the Nikita pilot and Lyndsy was decent in it.

Caitlin's 20, yes, but she looks older than that -- I agree with Pia -- she looks like she's in her late-20's. :shrug:

Thanks for sharing the trailer and the video, Ann. :) The movie looks interesting, and I can see why Caitlin may make a good Katniss. But her role in this movie and the role as Katniss may be a bit redundant, do you think? Like too similar? She has a very pretty singing voice though! :D

Well, we don't have to have a different pair every thread because we'll definitely run of good pairings, but we can always recycle through the different pairs again. I don't know -- I just wanted to mix it up a little bit. :) I love Kaya/Hunter, and I'm looking forward to seeing your art of them.

Well, I think the Tomorrow series is a bit similiar, since it's about fighting back from the war. But I think it would expose Caitlin more if she got Katniss since she is mostly known in Australia. She does.

Since the new OP has scene/picture of the moment, maybe we should use a new art in there for each thread, so we can use the different pairs in there.

Agreed with that suggestion, including too many arts would make the OP quite messy so I’ll suggest limiting it to 3 to 5? On the credit part, I don’t know who made the ones I’ve stored up either so maybe we can put in something in case the makers come around, to let them know to PM the person who opened the OP for them to be credited properly. :)

My suggestion on the arts to be posted in the OP - How about we pick the top 3 combos and then we can vote on the one / two arts that we want to have in the OP? That way, everyone can have a go at picking their favourite arts. I’m okay with all the other suggestions though, if you guys prefer those. :)

I'll be honest. I'm open to anything with the OP. I rarely look at it, unless we're on the 1st page. I'll trust the rest of you to make it look good.

I'm finishing up THG and I'm all swoony over P/K. What a great couple. :D The last parts of the book (with Cato) were so exhilarating.

I loved the last moments with Cato as well. PK just holding onto each other, trying to keep each other alive, coupled with the horror of hearing Cato being mangled to death. And then the last scene on the train was heartbreaking. :cry: I love the part where Katniss said that she was missing him already and dreaded the moment when she had to finally let go of his hand. :love:

I love that moment too! :love: I think it's really significant that she ended every book with something major about PK.

Even though it was a cliche, I loved that he picked flowers for her. And even though Katniss was struggling through all of those interviews, it was b/c she was private. Not b/c she didn't love Peeta. She was a terrible liar, so all the things she said was true.

Now I'm about to begin Catching Fire. :D

Agreed. :nod: Katniss was a person who generally avoided any personal ties except for her family (though I guess her relationship with her mother was basically emotionally cold) and Gale so it took her a long time to come to terms that she felt something for Peeta. Plus, she just wasn’t a good a communicator as Peeta so it usually didn’t come through as well as when he conveyed how he felt for him. I loved the bit where she wanted to say all those things to Peeta but wished that she could stop the Capitol and everyone else from intruding in those moments, because they were private.
