Same. Those times he seemed the most happy and care free. And was truly opening up a lot more with her.

Exactly and even now I think a lot of the way he is is because of Beth.

It really is. Not to say he never loosened up or anything but the most he ever did was with Beth and after Beth. And the common theme being Beth there.

I think he can look at things and the world he's in without being so dejected because of Beth.

I agree. He can actually see faith and the good in some things. She really opened him up for that and it was amazing to watch.

Sometimes I wonder why because he was actually right, faith ain't done **** and she never did see her sister again, but yeah.

I kinda agree. I mean I get that her putting faith into helped him open up and see it even in heartache and tragedy but also... yeah that.

I mean it's nice that Beth had a lasting impact on him but if we were being ~realistic~ Daryl would have been like, "I was right all along, **** hope."

I kinda shocked they didn't go in that direction considering how low and sad they want Daryl.

I think if they did do that Daryl would never come back from it so instead they went "look how Beth changed him!!!"

Yeah true. But they really don't know what they're doing with him.

Also true. Sooo true. Instead of actual growth or storylines it's this weird, boring circle of him inadvertently getting people killed and feeling sad about it.

And I don't understand that. Daryl is one of the most popular characters (or use to be) so keeping him stuck in a weird cycle makes no sense.You think they would want him to have a storyline that moves on. They were getting there with the DB stuff but then they killed her.

I think if it's not in the comics gimple is pretty much clueless. I'd even go as far as to say incompetent.
