I'm not saying they needed to get all the screen time but think about how interesting it would have been to see a genuine, well-developed romance like that actually happen and thrive in the zombie apocalypse. Instead you get that priest, that I don't even have to watch the show to know for a fact nobody in its audience gives a **** about, get 2 different pairings that apparently came out of nowhere. So freaking stupid. __________________

I think so but the thing is I don't believe those writers would know actual romance if it slapped them across the face. Which is why you get the garbage lady and the priest (jfc ) instead of something like a genuine old school romance. Emily and Norman handed them magic on a silver platter and it was probably by accident which could help explain why it ended so stupidly and nonsensically.

Like see that scene had so much sexual tension, with her sweater falling and the way their eyes lock and hold each other, and I don't think it was meant to. If you think about it it's a weird moment for sexual tension because Beth's boyfriend had just died but Emily and Norman and I guess the director/big BD shipper Greg Nicotero just couldn't stop it.

I don't think it was meant to either but wow did these two have the chemistry. It was exploding. The closeness, his face, her sweater falling down.. everything just lined up.
