Thank you for this thread. It's a welcomed release. There's been so many wonderful caring thoughts written about Whitney and Kevin here. The eulogy was outstanding. He obviously cared a great deal about Whitney. One of the first messages he imparted to the audience was that he and Whitney had something in common. Years ago, she had a single with her ex by that same title. He went on to describe their shared religion. Someone wrote earlier that he is a smart man. Yes indeed, he is smart and patient.

Kevin once said that he liked her essence. He went on to say that it was appealing to him.
I think what he loved was her magificient feminine charm. Girl had it down to a science. It works, and she planted herself right smack in the center of his heart. She certainly proved to be unforgettable. The movie star hero had hands laid upon him by a real queen. Diana Ross has feminine charm and so did Marilyn Monroe. |

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this and mistakenly started a new thread but here's my 2 cents: 1) I think Whitney was a person in a lot of denial. In her Oprah interview, with her husky voice, she denied that her singing voice had been affected. In her Bodyguard interview she claimed the "intimacies" were all "programmed". Yet Kevin Costner described them as "passionate". Moreover I remember reading an interview when The Bodyguard originally came out. In this interview Kevin described an intense love scene. The exact words he used were "too wild" and thus the scene had to be taken out. But near of the end of the interview, I remember him saying with with a satisfied smile. "But we did, we did it all afternoon long!" "Programmed?" I don't think so. Maybe denial of her true feelings was a major part of her problem. |
