Since they aren't lecture exams (with exercise) I don't need to retake them (yet). I can hope to do better at the 2nd one and get enough points overall to pass the subject.

So you have to pass your exams in the semester in order to pass the semester and that allows you to start the next semester?
Is that how it is in Poland? Or just at private unis?

Ana: you are lucky you can retake your exams. I have some next week and if I fail I have to redo the whole course again and again until I pass.

Morning mate. I am doing ok.

Well, for many of my courses you have to pass first go otherwise you fail the whole course. in some I take you can fail as long as you get atleast 50% overall in the whole course. But we can never take an exam twice. And I am doing an accounting degree.

In my course you can retake an exam 4 times, so you've got 5 attempts overall.

Oh, accounting- not an easy course. Is it a bachelor's degree(3 yrs)?

Accounting isn't easy, but its not the hardest degree around (thank god). It is a bachelor's degree and had I done uni full-time this would have been my last year. But because I did it part-time I have 3 years to go.

Yeah but the 4th and 5th attempt are in front of a commission, so you should pass it within the first 3 attempts ^^

I'm still living at home so luckily I don't have to work
So whereabouts are you from if I may ask? From the east coast?

I live at home too, but working has really helped with understanding my degree (I work in an accounting firm) and has given me a good financial backing for when I move out.

I live in Newcastle, which is a couple of hours from Sydney. Where are you from?
