I'm good with 100 episodes too
Since there's a bit to go though, i expect it won't be all smooth sailing for Jane and Rafael.

Personally hope Alba and Jorge somehow reconcile in the finale but I don't know anymore.
Agreed that if Petra/JR marry that would be a rehash with Milos

I told you all. Five seasons = 100 episodes. It's a well known fact in the world of broadcast television. 100 Chapters. That's true. We do have ideas but don't know who's getting married. I agree do not throw Raf under the bus. They can make these 19 episodes work if they cut out filler. It's the final season and I always give Jennie and her writers credit for doing planned storylines. There are many actual important storylines they can focus on in S5 instead of filler. Let's hope TPTB do that.

Jennie's always known the ending. And she's talked about having a 5 year plan.

I finished Chapter 79, and ended up enjoying it. I loved Alba getting her citizenship. And the Villanueva women getting together to take care of Xio and study. I liked the little meta moment where Jane asks Alba a question about Puerto Rico. At least I think it was meta, because the Villanueva women are played by 3 Puerto Rican actresses.

Enjoyed the J/R stuff. I guess Michael needed to be discussed, but it felt boring. And that they brought him up just for the sake of bringing it up. I wish they'd go back to Rafael's bio family, but I have a feeling they're going to stretch that out now that they have 19 more episodes.

Also, I've been watching The Golden Girls. There's an episode I watched recently where a teenaged Mario Lopez is deported. So I got a kick seeing him on JTV. "Later, Slater" was funny.

I loved Darci and Rogelio's talk. I'm glad that Esteban was given a little depth and dignity.

I also liked J/R and Jane's talk in the elevator.

Thanks for another lovely video. Wait, people are really out here believing Michael is still alive and he's going to pop up Friday night? Even after the show just talked about the anniversary of his death? Even after his cause of death was revealed? Even after that entire storyline? :confused:

I think there's always been that contingent of people who believe that. And they won't stop believing until 2 minutes after the series finale airs. :shrug:

Hi all it’s been forever since I posted here but I’m still watching. Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if Michael came back it’s a telenovela after all. But it seems cruel. Just when Janes at a good place and have fallen in love again Michael would come back and Jane would choose him again? After Rafael’s insecurities about being 2nd choice. Don’t see that happening and if it did Unecesarily cruel thing to do to his character. So then she would choose Rafael. Which would be cruel in regards to Michael. I mean you might as well left things where they were with him dying while they were happily in love. But people are thinking Brett is coming back because yesterday when he returned to Twitter after a break he tweeted “michael Cordero is back” but then deleted it.

i'm not surprised by the Michael rumors. I'd be surprised if there weren't rumors, but I think if he does come back, it's probably for flashbacks.

It sounds like a Twitter hack to me. I don't see Brett doing that even if Michael were coming back.

Brett is in a pilot so Jane's end game couldn't count on Brett/Michael as part of its end game. They could get him now but if his show is picked up, the best they could maybe do is an episode. Or two. (And that's because of the CBS/CW connection.)

His death doesn't even fit a telenovela death. You're right, Pia. Some fans are going to hang to that illogical theory until the final curtain call. Michael's heart stopped (glowing hearts mean something on this show and his glow went out.) His death was foreshadowed since S1. An autopsy was done which why we know the cause of his death. His own mother seem his body in the casket. Everyone did, then that casket was put in the ground. Jane the title character was depressed for years because her husband died. The cast cried when Brett left because they're all friends. Jennie wrote a letter. Jane wrote a book. He's been in the ground for nearly five years now. Jennie even read up on what his cause of death was going to be. Talked to professionals. But people also believe Xo is going to die, even though Jennie said she's never killing off Alba or Xo. Oh, well.

Yeah, in the promo Rafael is in the dark when Jane comes in. Whatever it is, looks like she's in the know which is great.
